In line with our commitment to bridging gaps, and creating opportunities; Nudge Bridge Initiative recently carried out a menstrual hygiene sensitisation outreach at Secondary School Ididep, Ibiono Ibom LGA, Akwa Ibom State.

The aim of the outreach was to educate female students on proper menstrual hygiene practices, break the stigma surrounding menstruation, encourage confidence among adolescent girls; thus, promoting health awareness, dignity, and the wellbeing of young girls.

The organisation held interactive sessions, where members of our team engaged the students in open and honest conversations about menstrual health, personal hygiene, the safe use of sanitary products; creating a safe space for questions, learning, and encouragement.

As part of the outreach, sanitary pads were distributed to support the girls and help address period poverty, which continues to affect the education, confidence, and wellbeing of many young girls in underserved communities.

The school management expressed appreciation for the outreach and its positive impact on the students. Many of the participants also shared how informative and encouraging the session was for them; expressing gratitude for the opportunity to learn more about menstrual health without fear or embarrassment.

At Nudge Bridge Initiative, we believe that access to menstrual hygiene education and resources is not just a health issue, but a matter of dignity, equality, and empowerment. That is why we remain committed to creating meaningful impact and supporting young girls with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive confidently.

We invite you to walk with us. Your sponsorship, collaboration and donations will enable us reach more schools, more girls and more futures.
